Organic golden black tea is a smooth and elegant tea grown and harvested in eastern Nepal. Using the bud as well as the first two tea leaves, this bounty of golden tips lend a naturally light, chocolate flavor. Though the leaves are fully oxidized, it does not easily become bitter and has a very delicate flavor profile compared to most black teas. Beautifully long and twisting leaves can be steeped 2-3 times per cup, and the addition of honey or milk will turn it into a delicious treat.
This Golden Black tea is grown and harvested by Nepal's first cooperative tea operation - the profits earned go directly to the workers and their community. Contains caffeine.
